Integrate Zoom with Tapdesk

Integrate Zoom with Tapdesk for seamless appointment scheduling and event management for your webinars, video meetings, and conference calls. It is the best way to meet your market needs. With a Zoom integration, Tapdesk creates an elevated experience for your scheduling. From sending calendar invites to scheduling webinars, Tapdesk helps you build a worthwhile video conferencing experience for your successful startup or large-scale business.

Zoom integration requirements

  • You must have a Zoom license to use this integration
  • You cannot connect multiple Zoom accounts to your workspace.
  • You require Tapdesk App Center permissions to add Zoom to your workspace
Pro tip: You can connect multiple Tapdesk accounts to one Zoom account.

Installing Zoom to your workspace

  • In your workspace, click App Center on the navigation menu.
  • From the App Center navigation menu, click Categories.
  • Click on All apps category to view all apps. You can also click the Business category to view all business apps. Zoom is categorized as a business app in Tapdesk.
  • Find Zoom from the list and click the Integrate button. You can also click on the Zoom app to go to app page on Tapdesk. From Zoom app page, Click the Integrate button on the right side of your screen to begin integration.
  • A new tab is opened. Enter your Zoom credentials (email address and password) and click Sign in. You can also sign in to Zoom using Google, Facebook, or your enterprise SSO.
  • You'll be prompted to grant permission for Tapdesk to access your Zoom account. Click Allow.
  • The tab should close automatically and you'll be redirected back to Tapdesk. A toast notification is shown on the top right corner of your screen informing you that Zoom was installed successfully.

Adding Zoom to your Tapdesk Calendar events

You can add Zoom video conferencing links to your Tapdesk events during creation. This will automatically create a Zoom meeting link and send it to your invitees as the location of the meeting. Follow the steps below to create Calendar event with Zoom meeting link:

  • On your Tapdesk workspace, click Calendar on the navigation menu.
  • You can add new events from month, week, or day view. Click on a month cell or drag through a week or day cell to launch the create event modal.
  • Enter meeting details. Check Zoom as the meeting location.

    When creating a videoconferencing event, you can select Zoom as the meeting location. This autofills and disables the location input box. After creation, a Zoom meeting link is automatically generated.

  • Click the Create Event button. This creates the event and sends its details to your event invitees

Adding Zoom to your Tapdesk Scheduler events

You can add Zoom video conferencing links to your Tapdesk Scheduler event slot. This will automatically create a Zoom meeting link when a user books an appointment from your scheduler. Follow the steps below to create Calendar event slot with Zoom meeting link:

  • On your Tapdesk workspace, click Calendar on the navigation menu.
  • Click Event Slots on the top navigation bar.
  • Click the New Event Slot button on the top right corner of the view to launch the event slot creation modal.
  • Enter the slot details. Check Zoom as the meeting location.

    You can set the location of an event slot to use Zoom. Your event slots show up in you Scheduler for clients to conveniently book appointments with you. When they do, a Zoom meeting link is automatically generated.

  • Click the Create Slot button to create the slot. Now, when a new appointment is booked, a Zoom meeting link will be created automatically for the event.
For group event slots, a Zoom meeting link is created for the slot when the first participant books the slot. Subsequent participants are added as invitees to the slot and will receive the meeting link created by the first participant.

Uninstalling Zoom from your workspace

  • In your workspace, click App Center on the navigation menu.
  • From the App Center navigation menu, click Categories.
  • Click on All apps category to view all apps. You can also click the Business category to view all business apps.
  • Find Zoom from the list and click the Remove button. You can also click on the Zoom app to go to app page on Tapdesk. From Zoom app page, Click the Remove button on the right side of your screen to remove the integration.
  • When successfully removed, Tapdesk will notify you using a toast notification on the top right side of the screen.
